Tech Tock started the way a lot of IT businesses do: someone calls because something broke, and you fix it. For years, that’s what we did across the Chicago area, one repair at a time, for businesses and households alike. We got to know our clients, their computers, and their quirks.
But fixing things after they break has a hard ceiling. The server that goes down mid-payroll, the mailbox that fills up in the middle of a deal, the departed employee who somehow still has access, the ransomware that walks in through one bad email. By the time the phone rings, the damage is already done. We kept thinking: almost none of this had to happen.
So we changed how we work. Today Tech Tock is a managed IT provider. Instead of waiting for the crash, we watch for the warning signs, keep systems patched and protected, and step in early, usually before a client even notices anything was wrong.
